Mario Solinas 2025 First Prize — International Olive Council
The Mario Solinas is the quality award of the International Olive Council (IOC), the global olive oil organization: the competition where the best extra virgin oils on the planet are measured. In its 2025 edition, Jabalcuz Gran Selección won first prize in the Medium Green Fruity category, sharing the podium with just a handful of oils from Spain, Portugal, and Tunisia.
For a village cooperative, competing with the world's major brands and winning is the confirmation of a path: mountain olive groves and well-done work need no further arguments.
Third Best EVOO in the World — AOVE World Cup 2026
At the III edition of the AOVE World Cup, held in Zaragoza, Jabalcuz Gran Selección was recognized as the third best extra virgin olive oil in the world, in a podium dominated by Andalusia.

The Jaén Provincial Council chooses every year, through a blind tasting, the best extra virgin oils from the province with the most olive groves in the world. Before being called Gran Selección, our premium oil was called La Pandera. With it, we achieved 94 points at the EVOOLEUM International Awards, among the 8 best out of more than 700 samples. Same oil, same quality, and same heart: today that legacy is called Jabalcuz Gran Selección.
